Frequently Asked Questions

Before Bikini Service Instructions

  • Have at least 1/4 of an inch of hair length

  • Gently exfoliate the area 48-72 hours before your wax. This will help loosen hairs from the follicle and encourage shorter hairs to come to the surface to be waxed out properly.

  • Feel free to take an anti-inflammatory over the counter medication 30 mins before arrival.

  • Ensure you are not on any prescription medications that will interfere with your waxing service.
Accutane and Retinol are both well known contraindications to waxing.
Please refer to your physician if you have any questions or concerns about other medications you are prescribed.

  • If you are on your menstrual cycle at the time of your appointment we ask that you wear a tampon or diva cup at time of service.

  • Try to come in with loose or comfortable clothing! This will reduce the risk of unwanted friction after your service.

After Bikini Service Instructions

  • Wear loose clothing after your wax as much as possible until redness or irritation has subsided.

  • Use aloe in the area if the area feels tender after your service

  • Keep skin as clean as possible, use an anti-bacterial wash or tea tree oil on the area.

  • Do not pick at any bumps you may have, instead, cleanse and soothe skin with aloe to encourage the skin to return to normal

  • Gently exfoliate the area 1-2 weeks after your service. Do this 2-3 times a week. This will help clear dead skin and allow the hair to come in without getting trapped or becoming an ingrown hair.

  • Return for your next wax at recommended time (4 weeks)
